KSE-100 declines to 173,377, PSX declines further

Benchmark index of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) lost over 100 points during trading, failing to get rid of the selling pressure for second trading day of the business week.

The KSE-100 index fell to 173,377 points, confirming continuation of the downward trend witnessed in the last session.

The index closed down 1,692 points at 173,636 points on the prior trading day.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee traded flat against the US dollar in the interbank market. The US dollar was trading at Rs277.40.

Equities continue to weaken in the current market action, while the currency rate was unchanged in interbank trading.
