Lahore has free WiFi! CM Maryam Nawaz unveiled fifty hotspots.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched a pilot initiative providing free WiFi services at 50 notable spots across Lahore in an effort to improve internet access and encourage connection for the populace.

A major step toward digital empowerment, the program, which has the approval of the CM herself, is to give the public seamless internet connectivity.

The implementation of free WiFi at the selected locations has pleased CM Maryam Nawaz, who pledged to keep her word and said, “50 spots in Lahore have received free WiFi service.” That includes the remainder of Lahore. Thank you so much! We make good on our promises.”

During a high-level meeting with representatives from the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) last month, the decision to start the free WiFi trial project was ultimately made. According to media sources, the responsibility for modernizing the current infrastructure—which includes hotspots—is to enable the smooth delivery of internet services.
