Lahore Metro Bus operations will cease on August 11, according to VEDA.

– The Lahore Metro Bus service is set to suspend operations from August 11 after VEDA, the private company operating the service, issued a final notice to the Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA).

In its notice, VEDA said it had been forced to take the decision because of an unresolved fuel supply issue, which had disrupted the operation of the bus service.

The company said its financial resources had been exhausted and it was no longer in a position to continue running the service without a regular and uninterrupted fuel supply.

VEDA maintained that the Punjab Masstransit Authority had failed to resolve the issue despite being informed about the situation. It said the service would remain suspended unless fuel supplies were restored in accordance with a court order.

The company has informed the authorities that all Lahore Metro Bus operations will be halted from August 11.
