Lawyers declare a weekly boycott and reject the Federal Constitutional Court.

The Federal Constitutional Court’s creation is undesirable, according to the All Pakistan Lawyers Action Committee, which has called on attorneys nationwide to boycott it.
After its meeting, the All Pakistan Lawyers Action Committee’s proclamation was released by the Lahore High Court Bar Association. The committee declared in the declaration that it completely disagrees with the Federal Constitutional Court.
The committee said that since the Supreme Court is already in operation, the constitution does not need the establishment of a new court of this kind. Anyone joining this “unconstitutional body” will be viewed as being against the Constitution, the people, and the judges.
According to the announcement, the committee vehemently opposes the 26th and 27th constitutional amendments, claiming they are an unconstitutional assault on the fundamental framework of the document.
The committee claims that the revisions were approved without any valid public support or authority. Every Thursday, all bar associations are required to have General House meetings and participate in rallies.
Additionally, the committee declared that it will work with bar associations to organize conferences.
A weekly boycott is announced by the Lahore High Court Bar.
Every Thursday, the Lahore High Court Bar Association has announced a weekly boycott. President Asif Naswana announced at the Lawyers Action Committee meeting that every Thursday, courts will be totally boycotted following urgent situations.
He also mentioned that a rally will be held every Thursday following the General House meeting. Naswana said they hoped all judges would follow through on their strike call.
Judges have been particularly affected by the 27th Constitutional Amendment, according to Asif Naswana, who said that Supreme Court judges’ standing has been weakened and that High Court justices are now at risk of being transferred.
