“Marka-e-Haq” improved Pakistan’s standing abroad: Ikhtiar Wali

Ikhtiar Wali Khan, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information and KP Affairs, praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir on Saturday, saying that “Marka-e-Haq” and Pakistan’s proactive role have improved the nation’s international reputation and restored its standing as a global leader.
He said that the country is still unified behind its leadership in an exclusive interview with a local media source, stressing that Pakistan’s foreign reputation has significantly improved and that its passport is now more respected.
He added that foreign observers and world leaders have praised Pakistan’s position and behaviour for the military’s firm and resolute response to India.
He went on to say that this increasing recognition on a global scale has greatly improved Pakistan’s standing, and he credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir’s leadership for this achievement.
In answer to a question, he claimed the PTI is only concerned with positive political involvement and that the party still propagates a narrative that targets state institutions rather than fostering national unity.
He went on to say that PTI is involved in what he called an ongoing propaganda effort, claiming that the party has failed to offer a cogent and successful foreign policy strategy that serves the interests of the country.
He said that, in his opinion, PTI puts its own political goals ahead of more general national concerns, weakening unity at a time when cooperation was needed.
He added that PTI seems to feel marginalised or less significant after “Marka-e-Haq,” and that their dissatisfaction is evident in their ongoing criticism of the government and state institutions.
He went on to say that, particularly when the nation is trying to raise its profile abroad, political discourse should continue to be constructive and concentrated on stability and advancement rather than conflict.
