Maryam Nawaz travels on four-day official trip to China

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif flew for China on Tuesday on a four-day official visit to improve ties between Punjab and China’s Xinjiang province.
Chinese Consul General Sun Yang saw the chief minister off at the airport before her departure.
Senior Chinese authorities will welcome Maryam on arrival at Urumqi International Airport. She will then start her program at the Kunlun Hall of the conference center of the Xinjiang State Guest House.
During the visit, the chief minister will meet a high-level delegation headed by Xinjiang Party Secretary Chen Xiaojiang.
She will also meet with a delegation from the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC) and hold a discussion with He Zhongyou, deputy party secretary of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Regional Committee.
Senior officials from Xinjiang would also give a ceremonial dinner in honour of Maryam Nawaz and the Punjab team.
During her official visit, Punjab chief minister will be staying at the Xinjiang State Guest House as a state guest.
