Mian Aslam Iqbal makes the choice to go to the Punjab Assembly meeting.

The senior leadership of the PTI met and decided to attend the session of the Punjab Assembly. The party’s defeated candidates were ordered at the meeting to demonstrate outside the Punjab Assembly on the day that the new legislators are sworn in.

The gathering denounced the purported attempts to “kidnap” Aslam Iqbal.

To take an oath, the recently elected MPAs are making their way to the Punjab Assembly building.

In the wake of the February 8 general elections, Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman called an inaugural session of the Punjab Assembly on Thursday.

The elected legislators will take an oath from Punjab Assembly Speaker Sabatin Khan to officially become members of the legislature.

In the meanwhile, the timetable for choosing the next speaker and deputy speaker of the house will be made public.

There are jail vehicles parked outside the meeting, and there are strict security precautions in place.
