Minister: Rohri-Karachi railway track construction would start in September.

Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, the Federal Minister for Railways, declared on Monday that construction on the 480-kilometer Rohri-Karachi track, which is expected to cost $2 billion, will begin in September.

The minister was speaking at the opening ceremony of The International School Pakistan Railways Campus Karachi, which aims to provide top-notch instruction within a framework of national collaboration and shared development.
The minister explained that the Rohri-Karachi portion of the main double line is the most challenging track constructed in the 1860s.

The PM has chosen to revitalize the 480-kilometer Rohri-Karachi track at an estimated cost of $2 billion. The project’s foundation stone is anticipated to be set in September of this year.

Hanif Abbasi expressed satisfaction with the school’s improvement efforts and stated that although Pakistan Railways has 14 schools nationwide to support the education of its employees’ children, those facilities are sadly in terrible shape.

In order to improve the state of the Railway School Karachi and guarantee that its employees’ children receive a high-quality education in a standard setting, Pakistan Railways has partnered with The International School. He added that all 14 schools were being outsourced in a transparent manner following the fulfillment of specific requirements and legal requirements, and the enrolled students will have the chance to receive a high-quality education.

Similarly, we are striving to guarantee Pakistan has access to high-quality medical services. According to him, railroad workers and seven railroad hospitals are also being outsourced on a partnership basis so that workers can access international-standard medical services.
