Nine JN.1 COVID variant case has been reported in Pakistan.

Details indicate that nine cases of the Covid-19 JN.1 variant were detected in hospitals in Peshawar. The health authorities then released an advice.

Hospitals have been encouraged to hasten testing for COVID-19 in influenza-like infections, according to the head of public health.

The health official went on to say that hospitals have been instructed to send samples to the Public Health Reference Lab for testing against the JN.1 virus.
According to medical professionals, if the department does not take prompt action to increase awareness and test the immediate family members of the individuals who have been diagnosed, things could get worse.

They claimed that additional testing was necessary to determine the true number of instances. They advised people to begin adhering to the Covid-19 SOPs, which include wearing facemasks and frequently washing their hands with soap after going to public areas.
