On a nationwide scale, the NDMA gives weather advisory

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a nationwide weather outlook from Tuesday to Friday through its National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) in which it has warned that different parts of the country would experience a mix of intense heat, thunderstorms, flash floods, glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs), landslides and wildfire risks.
The advice specifies where and when the weather systems projected to affect Pakistan, the likely implications and preventative measures for authorities, people and tourists.
The NDMA said two different weather systems are predicted to impact the country over the next week.
A light moist current is forecast to hit southern and eastern parts while a westerly weather system is likely to influence northern areas of Pakistan.
Scattered dust storms, thunderstorms and rain are forecast in Islamabad and many regions of Punjab with intermittent pauses, along with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms under the influence.
Central and southern parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are anticipated to have sporadic rain, wind and thunderstorms with isolated heavy rains and hailstorms. Dust storms, thunderstorms and rain are also forecast in the higher regions of the Sindh province while dust storms, thunderstorms and rain are likely in northeastern Balochistan.
Scattered rain-wind/thunderstorms with isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms are likely in Azad Jammu & Kashmir in Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber and Mirpur with rare pauses.
Rain, wind and thunderstorms are also predicted for Gilgit-Baltistan encompassing Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche and Shigar.
The Met Office has warned that windstorms, hailstorms and lightning might damage sensitive infrastructure including solar panels, electric poles and billboards during the time of forecast.
It has also warned of landslides in the vulnerable areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
All responsible Ministries/Departments have been instructed to take adequate measures to prevent any unfortunate incident during the projected timeframe.
