Pakistan embassy in Saudi Arabia provides advise for Umrah pilgrims, workers

Saudi Arabia’s Pakistani Embassy has issued an important advise for Umrah pilgrims and workers to rigorously observe Saudi regulations and avoid any unlawful actions like begging.
In a video message on its official X account, the embassy asked Pakistani citizens to abide by the restrictions of their visas, not to stay beyond the allotted period and avoid actions that may contravene Saudi regulations.
The film explains the various consequences of breaching local laws such as arrest, investigation, jail and deportation.
The embassy also made a special appeal to the Pakistani visitors and workers to refrain from begging and to behave appropriately throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia. The pilgrims were also advised to respect the holy places and follow Saudi laws and regulations.
The embassy’s statement comes in the wake of social media backlash over events involving Pakistani residents begging in Saudi Arabia, expressing concern and dissatisfaction.
The embassy stressed that tourists should always be conscious of their behavior and refrain from any activities that could result in legal repercussions.
