Pakistan expresses support for Yemeni peace initiatives spearheaded by Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan has stated that it fully supports Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic efforts to maintain peace and stability in Yemen.

In a statement, the foreign office spokesperson stated, “We also commend the UAE’s efforts in this regard.” He further mentioned that Pakistan is keeping a careful eye on the latest events in Yemen.

“We emphasise the importance of maintaining Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity and express the hope that the Yemeni stakeholders will refrain from taking any unilateral actions that could lead to further escalation of the situation.”

“We also urge all Yemeni parties to work towards an inclusive, negotiated political solution based on the established parameters in a constructive and sincere manner.”

According to the foreign office, Pakistan hopes that the ongoing diplomatic efforts will lead to tangible steps towards establishing a lasting peace in the nation and ending the suffering of the Yemeni people.
