Pakistan, Saudi Arabia to waive visas for holders of diplomatic, official passports

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia also struck an agreement on waiving visa requirements for bearers of diplomatic and official or special passports to facilitate official travel and institutional interactions between the two nations.

The agreement was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan in New York on the sidelines of the 2026 United Nations General Assembly session.

Dar announced the development in a post on X, saying he was glad to sign the agreement with his Saudi counterpart.

According to Dar, Pakistani people who hold diplomatic or official passports will be able to go to Saudi Arabia without the need to seek a visa as a result of the deal.
