Pakistan’s PM said cross-border terrorist acts would not be tolerated.

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif declared on Wednesday that Pakistan will not tolerate any further cross-border terror strikes on its soil.

PM Shehbaz Sharif, who presided over today’s federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad, stated that Pakistan’s geographical borders must be secure.

Pakistan wishes to maintain friendly relations with its neighboring countries in order to enhance trade and commercial relations. However, he said that it is unacceptable to utilize neighboring country’s land for terrorism in Pakistan.

Shehbaz Sharif recommended developing a united approach with sincerity of purpose to eliminate the scourge of terrorism. He stated that concerted efforts against terrorism will assist to establish peace in the region while also addressing other challenges such as poverty.

Highlighting Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war on terrorism, the prime minister reaffirmed his resolve to eliminating the threat of terrorism as previously done.

Sharif wants to revitalize Pakistan’s economy.
Regarding the economic condition, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the government is obligated to get another IMF package. He did, however, reiterate his commitment to reviving the economy and helping it stand on its own two feet. We took a determined choice to reduce borrowing and progressively rid the country of loans.

The premier stated that an enabling environment will be established to attract investments in a variety of sectors, including agriculture, industries, information technology, and mining and minerals.

He stated that the Special Investment Facilitation Council serves as an effective platform for facilitating investment in the country.

The Prime Minister referred to the pending tax cases totaling twenty-four hundred billion rupees and urged Pakistan’s Chief Justice, Justice Qazi Faez Isa, to direct the courts to resolve these matters as soon as possible.

PM Shehbaz Sharif also underlined his determination to broaden the revenue base and bring promising sectors within the tax net.

He stated that the FBR will be totally digitalized. The process of hiring consultants will be completed by the third or fourth week of the next month. He stated that the digitalization process will be overseen to ensure its timely completion.

Shehbaz Sharif stated that a committee has been formed to reduce the government’s expenses. He ensured that the proposals will be completely implemented.

He stated that there would be zero tolerance for electricity and gas theft.
