PM Shehbaz pays tribute to President Raisi’s untimely demise by meeting with Iran’s top leader.

The late Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi’s contributions to the oppressed people of Gaza and the unity of the Muslim Ummah will always be remembered, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

He was speaking with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, on Wednesday in Tehran.

President Raisi was described by the prime minister as an exceptional leader who showed unwavering dedication to serve his country and people, and he offered condolences for the unfortunate deaths of him and his companions.

The prime minister emphasised the important contribution played by the late Iranian president in enhancing the two countries’ bilateral ties with Pakistan, recalling President Raisi’s visit to Pakistan in April 2024.

In order to strengthen bilateral trade and Pakistan-Iran relations, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to carrying out the late Iranian president’s agenda.

At this crucial moment, the prime minister reaffirmed his support for his Iranian colleagues. He underlined Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its ties of friendship and fraternity with Iran.

~Pakistan is determined to fortify its ties of friendship and fraternity with the Iranian government and people, the prime minister added.

The Iranian Supreme Leader acknowledged the feelings that the Pakistani government and people were expressing during this difficult period. He conveyed his appreciation for the flood of feelings and praised Pakistan for its steadfast assistance.

He highlighted Iran’s will to accord the highest priority to its relations with Pakistan and promised to further the vision of the late Iranian President Raisi with regard to relations between Pakistan and Iran.
