PM Shehbaz uses digital wallets to announce fuel relief for the transportation industry.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that fuel relief payments for public and freight transport operators are being distributed through digital wallets to ease the impact of rising petroleum prices.

The prime minister presided over a meeting to examine the nation’s petroleum stocks and evaluate relief efforts in light of the current gasoline crisis, according to a statement from the prime minister’s office.

According to the prime minister, a clear and effective digital system is currently used to distribute subsidies for truck, bus, and waggon operators. He underlined that the government is giving priority to helping those who are economically challenged and making sure that financial aid is delivered on schedule.

“We will not abandon our people during difficult times,” the prime minister stated, adding that public relief remains the government’s top priority. Additionally, he mentioned that the money saved by austerity measures is being used to help citizens.

Officials told the prime minister at the briefing that there are sufficient fuel reserves to satisfy the country’s needs. Progress on various relief initiatives aimed at mitigating the effects of rising fuel costs was also reviewed.

The news follows a dramatic spike in fuel costs brought on by increases in the price of crude oil worldwide that are connected to Middle East concerns. The cost of petrol and gasoline has already increased dramatically in recent weeks, adding to the nation’s growing inflation.
