Re-Polling at Different Polling Places: ECP Assigns Re-Polling in PK-90 Kohat-I, PS-18 Ghotki-I, and NA-88 Khushab

On Thursday, 53 voting places across three National and Provincial Assembly seats were instructed to conduct reelections by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

A spokesman for the Election Commission stated that since polling materials were wasted in the NA-88 Khushab, PS-18 Ghotki-I, and PK-90 Kohat-I Constituencies, the results have been withheld by the Commission.

After this month’s 15th, the results of these constituencies will be made public.

After a mob at the Returning Officer’s Office set fire to voting materials, the Commission mandated re-polling in 26 NA-88 polling places.

Due to the theft and destruction of 25 voting places in PK-90 Kohat and 2 polling stations in Ghotki by unidentified miscreants, the Commission has ordered a re-election.
