Security forces stop attempt to smuggle weaponry from Afghanistan

Security forces and the Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan stopped an attempt to smuggle weapons and ammunition from Afghanistan in a joint operation under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, security sources said on Sunday.
Security personnel on Friday launched an intelligence-based operation in Pishin district and foiled a scheme to smuggle munitions from Afghanistan, sources said.
Sources reported that during a raid on a warehouse in the Saranan region of Pishin, the security forces seized a vehicle laden with weapons and ammunition.
Weapons discovered include three rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launchers, four light machine guns, a machine gun, hand grenades, rockets and a huge quantity of ammo.
Security sources said a search operation was continuing on in the region to assess the suspected existence of terrorist groups.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies have reiterated to safeguard peace and stability in Balochistan and eliminate terrorism.
