Family sources have verified that Shahid Akhtar, the elder brother of former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar, has passed away.

Shoaib Akhtar announced on social media that his brother had passed away and conveyed his sorrow over the death.

Shoaib Akhtar announced in a statement released on X (previously Twitter) that his loving brother Shahid Akhtar returned to Allah Almighty.
