‘So-called arrest drama’ performed by Sohail Afridi in police van, says Punjab minister

However, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has rejected reports of the arrest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi by the police, calling it a “political stunt.”

The provincial minister said that KP Chief Minister constantly clashed with police officers, who according to her continued giving him protocol despite Afridi’s rude and abusive language.

Azma Bokhari said that Afridi sat inside the van and smiled, saying that he would not come out. She also said that Afridi’s social media guy was filming this whole event.

Azma Bokhari said that van driver started moving the vehicle after noticing that people began attacking the van. However, people stopped the vehicle after a short distance.

“If the KP chief minister had been arrested, there would be police in that van,” she said.
