District-level plans for purchasing wheat have been finalized, according to sources in the Food Department.

According to reports, the Food Department set up a network of 393 wheat procurement facilities throughout Punjab to streamline the procurement process.

In order to protect the interests of small-scale farmers, sources state that the qualifying requirements for bard acquisition have been set at a maximum of 6 acres of land.

In addition, as of April 13, the Food Department will begin accepting applications via the Bardana mobile application, which is intended to expedite the application process.
