The chief secretary of Balochistan chairs an important conference on pricing control and public welfare.

A high-level meeting of commissioners and deputy commissioners was presided over by Balochistan Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan on Thursday in order to examine important administrative and public welfare projects around the province.
The meeting’s main topics included market price regulation, the implementation of the plastic bag ban, temporary appointments in the health and education departments, and the provision of public services through open courts (khuli kacheris).
The Chief Secretary told the conference that the province is dedicated to raising the standard of living for its people by using the resources at its disposal to carry out public service projects and development plans.
He underlined that in order to guarantee that every person has access to a higher and more fulfilling standard of living, government agencies and district administrations need to step up their efforts.
In the third stage of the recruiting process, Shakeel Qadir Khan instructed authorities to make sure that open jobs in the departments of health and education were filled.
In addition to urging people to switch to eco-friendly alternatives, he pointed out that the provincial ban on plastic shopping bags that was put in place throughout Balochistan, including Quetta, should be carefully enforced.
In order to maintain the sale of goods at official government pricing, the Chief Secretary directed administrations to keep a careful eye on the costs of necessities.
More than 17,000 market and bazaar inspections were carried out around the province in November, officials informed the gathering.
Open courts should be regularly held, Shakeel Qadir Khan added, as they are crucial for fostering direct public engagement and guaranteeing prompt grievance resolution.
The Chief Secretary emphasised the wider effects of development initiatives, stating that continuing projects are essential for delivering essential public services, enhancing social welfare, and rising living standards.
The prompt completion of these projects, he continued, would increase job opportunities and promote advancement in important fields like healthcare and education.
