The district administration and Nanbai Association are at a standstill over the new roti price.
As a result of the Nanbai association’s rejection of the new rates in the midst of the district administration’s crackdown on the infractions, there has been a standoff over the price of roti in Lahore.
3496 points were examined in a 24-hour period, and 79 cases were reported and 592 fines were levied, according to the Lahore district authorities. In the meantime, more than 100 persons were arrested for charging more than the set amount of Rs. 16 for each roti that was not bread.
Rafia Haider, the deputy commissioner of Lahore, ensured that individuals who do not sell bread at set pricing would not face prejudice in her operations.
