The government says the courts will decide Imran Khan’s destiny and rejects any offer of a bargain to the PTI.

Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s adviser on political affairs, has once again denied rumors that the government had extended an offer to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Rana Sanaullah told the media that no agreement has been made to PTI and that no such option is being considered.

He underlined that the courts will resolve PTI founder Imran Khan’s issues and punishments, just as they have in the past with regard to Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari.

He made it clear that his previous comments regarding PTI turning down a deal applied just to the demonstration on November 24 and had nothing to do with any larger political agreement.

Attaullah Tarar, the Federal Information Minister, had previously vehemently refuted reports of an agreement with Imran Khan.

However, PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram denied the government’s allegations, raising doubts about whether party members would have been subjected to violence at D-Chowk had a genuine agreement been reached.

He accused government ministers of spreading such stories in an attempt to advance their political careers.

Furthermore, according to Sheikh Waqas Akram, there had been no offer to arrange family meetings with the PTI founder.

He went on to say that Mahmood Khan Achakzai would decide whether to hold talks after Imran Khan forbade the party from doing so.
