The Islamabad High Court will consider the appeals of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi on their sentences in the £190 million case.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has set the hearing date for central appeals on the sentences of PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the 190 million-pound case for May 7.

The court rejected prior motions to halt the sentences, deeming them ineffectual following the scheduling of the appeals for hearing.

A division bench consisting of Chief Justice Sardar Sarfaraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif adjudicated the case.

The PTI founder and Bushra Bibi both petitioned the court to consider their request for sentence suspension prior to the main appeal, which the court denied.

The petitions were submitted in March 2025.

In March, the Islamabad accountability court adjudicated a 14-year prison term and a fine of 1 million rupees for the PTI founder, while Bushra Bibi was sentenced to seven years in prison and fined 500,000 rupees.
