The KP CM writes to PM Shehbaz about CNG gas supply stoppage.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi wrote to the Pakistani Prime Minister to resolve the CNG sector gas supply stoppage.
In his letter, the chief minister urged that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a significant natural gas producer, be restored to its constitutional rights and gas supply to the CNG sector.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa generates 494 MMCFD of petrol but consumes 120 MMCFD.
KP governor, CM Sohail Afridi debate CNG, wheat supplies.
Per the letter, the province’s CNG sector needs 36 to 40 MMCFD of gas, which has been diverted to fertiliser. Chief minister cautioned that CNG station gas supply interruption could cause unrest and law and order issues in the province.
He said a gas-producing province has first use of its resources under Article 158 of the Constitution. He further noted that the Peshawar High Court called CNG station closures unjust.
The closure threatens thousands of jobs in the transport sector, which relies on CNG, the chief minister said. He worried that pricey fuel will burden the populace.
Sohail Afridi urged the Prime Minister to provide gas to the CNG industry quickly and requested that the Council of Common Interests discuss the issue.
