Three judges are appointed by President Alvi.

The appointment of the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) and a judge of the Supreme Court (SC) was authorized by President Dr. Arif Alvi.

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, was appointed by the president to the Supreme Court.

Under Article 175 A of the Constitution, the president gave his approval for the appointment. The president also gave his approval to Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar, the highest ranking judge, to serve as the interim chief justice of the Balochistan High Court.

In compliance with Article 196 of the Constitution, the president appointed the acting chief judge of the Balochistan High Court.

Additionally, Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmed Khan, the most senior judge, was named Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court by President Alvi.
