To lower the cost of broiler chicken, chick exports will be prohibited.

With the aim of bringing down the cost of broiler chicken, the Punjab Food Ministry has made the decision to prohibit chick exportation.

There were reports that the Punjab administration received a summary of the ban from the Livestock Department.

There is a full shortage there, therefore whatever in excess is exported, but sources claim that this ban might lower the price of chicken by Rs 200 per kg.

They added that the bad policies of the previous Lahore government were to blame for chicken’s increased cost. The rates rose as a result of exports, notwithstanding the local shortage. It should be noted that the cost of chicken has increased in some of the nation’s cities.
