Warrior-IX: The armed forces of Pakistan and China conduct collaborative counterterrorism exercises.

The Pakistan Army and China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) are presently conducting a joint counterterrorism exercise, Warrior-IX, from 28 November to 14 December 2025.
The fortnight-long exercise aims to improve interoperability and bolster military-to-military collaboration between the two countries, as stated by the media division of the Pakistani military.
The Distinguished Visitors Day (DVD) event occurred at the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) in Pabbi on Thursday, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). Jiang Zaidong, the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, served as the Chief Guest, accompanied by high-ranking Chinese officials. The Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army attended as the Guest of Honour.
During the tour, the guests were informed about the scope, objectives, and execution of the joint drills. They noted several counterterrorism drills and commended the professionalism, operational proficiency, and elevated morale exhibited by the forces of both Pakistan and China.
Warrior-IX exemplifies the expanding defense partnership between Pakistan and China, highlighting the dedication of both Armed Forces to preserving peace and security in the region.
The exercise illustrates common strategic aims and strengthens enduring military-to-military interactions.
