When exercising authority, the Constitution must always come first: Chief Justice of the FCC

Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan of the Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) has emphasized that the Constitution must be given top importance when exercising authority.

Speaking during the Federal Constitutional Court’s commencement of the 2026–2027 judicial year, the chief justice stated that it was a chance to reaffirm the dedication to administering justice.

He claimed that the Federal Constitutional Court was successfully carrying out its duties in addressing constitutional issues.

The top justice underlined that anytime authority is used, the Constitution must always come first.

He added that the Constitution clearly outlines powers and their limitations and that upholding it is crucial to maintaining social stability.

The significance of utilizing contemporary technologies in judicial operations was also emphasized by Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan. He claimed that in a brief amount of time, the Federal Constitutional Court had rendered rulings in a number of significant cases.

Technology can assist increase institutional capability and transparency, he said.

He went on to say that every citizen has a fundamental right to access justice and that delivering constitutional justice free from prejudice should continue to be a top concern.
