16 militants were apprehended in Punjab operations, including a suicide bomber.

During a number of intelligence-based operations throughout Punjab, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has detained 16 terrorists, including a suicide bomber.
113 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) were carried out in several cities, including Khushab, Mianwali, Rawalpindi, Jhang, Bhakkar, Lahore, Faisalabad, Chakwal, Toba Tek Singh, Hafizabad, and Gujranwala, according to a CTD spokesperson.
Ghazi Marjan, a suicide bomber connected to Fitna al Khawarij, was apprehended during an operation in Jhang along with explosives and a suicide vest. Maley Khan, another suspect who was allegedly involved in attacks on important installations, was apprehended in a different operation in Sargodha.
According to CTD officials, the apprehended suspects had planned to attack police checkpoints, but their plans were successfully thwarted by prompt action by the authorities.
Explosives, suicide vests, 14 detonators, 25 feet of safety fuse wire, prohibited stickers, extremist literature, and money were found on the suspects.
Ghazi Marjan, Moeen Khan, Aseel Din, Nasir Shah, Naseeb Khan, Abrar, Yousaf, Maley Khan, Osama, and others have been named among those detained.
Furthermore, during the week, CTD conducted 2,830 combing operations, interviewing 95,755 people and holding 190 suspects.
Officials reiterated that counterterrorism activities will continue unhindered throughout Punjab.
