Due to heavy fog in several areas, Motorway Police issues a special travel advisory.

Due to heavy fog in several parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh, the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has issued a comprehensive travel advise for commuters.
Due to the sharp decline in visibility on major highways and motorways, which has increased the likelihood of traffic accidents, Motorway Police has issued this advise.
Fog greatly reduces visibility and can result in dangerous driving conditions, according to an NHMP representative. If the fog gets dangerously thick, pertinent motorway portions may be temporarily closed to protect public safety.
It is highly recommended that drivers carefully plan their trips and make sure they finish between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM, when visibility is generally greater. The spokeswoman advised commuters to refrain from needless midnight travel.
Drivers passing through the impacted areas have been advised to use fog lights, maintain a greater-than-normal distance from the car in front of them, and keep their car wipers in good operating order. Because high-beam headlights significantly impair visibility by bouncing light back into the fog, their usage has been rigorously discouraged.
Commuters are advised to check the most recent road and weather conditions before to their trip by calling the NHMP helpline at 130, listening to FM 95, or keeping up with developments on NHMP’s social media accounts. These channels will offer up-to-date information on traffic flow, diversions, and closures.
The NHMP spokeswoman underlined that the department’s top priorities continue to be passenger safety and the preservation of people and property.
