According to Maryam Nawaz, the PML-N’s vision is to protect human rights.

Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, declared on Wednesday that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) primary goal is to defend human rights.

The chief minister stated in her remarks on International Human Rights Day that Islam is the strongest supporter of human rights and that the Farewell Sermon contained the first comprehensive charter of human rights. She said, “The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave humanity an eternal and universal message and presented an extraordinary charter of human rights.”

According to Maryam Nawaz, December 10 is celebrated globally to highlight the value of human rights and to emphasise that all people have the same rights, regardless of their status, gender, race, or religion. “A developed and prosperous society is built on respect for human rights,” she continued.

CM Punjab reaffirmed that the PML-N’s goal is reflected in the advancement of human rights, emphasising the government’s emphasis on access to basic necessities, healthcare, education, freedom of expression, and religion. “We want to create a society where every citizen has equal opportunities, justice, and dignity. The Punjab government is fully committed to upholding human rights.”

The CM emphasised that upholding fundamental rights is the hallmark of a civilised society and that promoting love, respect, and tolerance is crucial for defending human rights. She asserted that the state’s top priority is to protect citizens’ fundamental rights.

Maryam Nawaz added that the Punjab government has taken concrete actions to safeguard the rights of its inhabitants, such as putting an end to forced labour, guaranteeing religious freedom, and administering justice without discrimination.
