Development-based politics were introduced by Nawaz Sharif: Ahsan Iqbal

Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif brought development-based politics to the nation, according to Federal Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday.
He made this statement at the Lahore Press Club during the book launch of Muhammad Nawaz Raza’s “Mard-e-Ahan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.”
“Nawaz Sharif has a huge fan following simply because he came up with the country’s economic agenda to ensure development and prosperity,” he stated.
According to the minister, Nawaz Sharif deserves praise for initiating all of the significant and noteworthy development initiatives in the nation.
He claimed that in addition to trying to reorient the nation’s economy, Nawaz Sharif implemented economic reforms in 1990 and 1991 after realizing the needs of the contemporary economy.
He claimed that India adopted nearly all of the reforms that Nawaz Sharif had instituted in Pakistan and that Manmohan Singh had acknowledged that India had profited from them. According to Ahsan Iqbal, it was regrettable that Pakistan was unable to carry out those changes, which led to instability.
He claimed that Nawaz Sharif would have been regarded as a better leader than Mahathir Mohamad if he had carried out those reforms for ten years in the nation.
He claimed that when Nawaz Sharif took office in 2013, Pakistan was dealing with the biggest energy load shedding problem, terrorism, and a weak economy. However, under Nawaz Sharif’s energetic leadership, the nation was able to overcome these difficulties.
According to him, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor initiative emphasized the nation’s status as a global developing economy.
According to Ahsan Iqbal, the PML-N government was overthrown in 2017 through a conspiracy, and the nation’s progress was put on hold.
The time it took to travel from Gwadar to Quetta had decreased, as had the roads in Balochistan, Hyderabad, and Karachi.
He referred to Nawaz Sharif as Pakistan’s “Sher Shah Suri,” who established a vast network of roads and motorways to guarantee connection throughout the nation.
He stated that Nawaz Sharif had been involved in cases such as “Iqama,” but that he had not been involved in any corruption trials.
For him, he said Modern Pakistan was designed by Nawaz Sharif, who established the framework for the nation’s contemporary economy.
“There is a need for a ‘charter of Pakistan,’ which may include a charter of democracy, a charter of economy, a charter of society, and a charter of security,” he declared.
He claimed that the Pakistani military had vanquished its adversary in “Marka-i-Haq,” and that the enemy was now attempting to undermine Pakistan by means of terrorism.
