Numerous motorway segments in Punjab are closed due to dense fog.

Major national highways and motorways in Punjab have been engulfed in dense fog, prompting authorities to block a number of sections to traffic and advising motorists to use great caution.

A representative for the Motorway Police Central Zone stated that visibility drastically decreased in a number of locations, including Khanewal, Mian Channu, Chichawatni, and Basti Malook, causing traffic to come to a complete halt on the impacted sections.

In Bahawalpur, Ahmedpur East, Channi Goth, Taranda Muhammad Panah, and Zahir Pir, heavy fog also predominated, making late-night and early-morning travel dangerous.

According to the spokesperson, heavy fog also affected Rahim Yar Khan, Fareedabad, Karamabad, Muslim Chowk, and Kot Sabzal, causing temporary closures at several locations to avoid accidents. Until conditions improve, drivers are encouraged not to make needless trips.
