The Iranian envoy stated that Iran will protect itself from external aggression.

Reza Amiri Moghadam, the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, stated on Thursday that Iran does not seek war but affirms its right to self-defence against any external assault.
During a media briefing at the Iranian embassy in Islamabad, Ambassador Moghadam stated that Iran seeks to avoid war and remains hopeful that the situation will not escalate into conflict. He cautioned that an assault on Iran would be perceived not merely as an attack on Iran itself, but as an aggression against the entire Muslim world.
Ambassador Moghadam asserted that the Iranian government has implemented substantial measures to control inflation while prioritising market stability.
Moghadam conveyed appreciation to Pakistan for its assistance in endeavours to avert conflict. He asserted that Iran has no plans of targeting any heads of state and is committed to diplomatic resolutions.
Reza Amiri stated that in the recent rallies in Iran, 3,117 individuals were murdered in violent confrontations, while 690 terrorists were neutralised. He reported that 305 ambulances and buses, along with 24 petrol stations, were damaged. He stated that 700 shops, 300 residences, and 750 banks were also targeted.
He additionally reported that aggressive mobs obliterated 414 government edifices and 749 police stations, while 120 healthcare facilities, 200 educational institutions, and 350 mosques were also assaulted.
