Mahmood Achakzai asserts that Imran Khan’s health is not as serious as depicted.

Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai refuted claims of the declining health of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, asserting that the circumstances were not as grave as depicted by propaganda.
Following a joint meeting of the Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ain Pakistan and the PTI political committee, Achakzai stated to media representatives that there is an effort to distract party members from their goals by instigating unwarranted anxiety on the health of the PTI founder.
He declared a protest on February 8 and asserted that tales around illness were being propagated to undermine the cause. “Should any harm befall the PTI founder, the government will bear responsibility,” he said.
“We desire our institutions and armed forces to operate within the constitutional framework, akin to institutions in other democratic nations,” he stated.
He commended Sohail Afridi for spearheading what he characterised as a successful street effort, noting that PTI workers seemed less concentrated on that facet.
Achakzai announced that torch-bearing rallies would occur nationwide, emphasising that the movement would maintain a peaceful nature. “We reject violence and abuse.” We request an autonomous Election Commission and general elections. The victorious party should establish the government, while the others must acknowledge the outcome,” he stated.
He advocated for a constitutional reorganisation, stating that the movement commencing on February 8 will reach its “logical conclusion.”
The opposition leader stated that he harboured no personal enmity towards Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif but accused him of subverting the Constitution. “You have transgressed the Constitution, diminished the authority of the judiciary, and enacted provisions such as the PECA ordinance,” he stated.
