The murder case of Arshad Sharif is announced by a federal constitutional court.

The Federal Constitutional Court has rendered a decision regarding the murder of Arshad Sharif.
According to the court’s written ruling, judicial action is not necessary at this time because Pakistan and Kenya have previously signed a Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) agreement. All relevant petitions and the suo motu case have been resolved.
According to the ruling, the court acknowledges the sorrow felt by Pakistanis and journalists alike at the death of Arshad Sharif. It stated that the heirs may petition the appropriate courts on any issue, but that maintaining the case open or allowing ongoing judicial oversight would go against the accused’s rights and openness standards.
The court deferred to the government’s foreign policy and discretion when it came to engaging international forums. It noted that black warrants have been issued for the suspects’ arrest and trial in Pakistan and that no party has objected to the Special Joint Investigation Team’s (SJIT) current proceedings.
The court added that the laws governing sovereign states and diplomatic cooperation with Kenya determine how quickly the investigation proceeds.
