According to Bilawal, the May 12 incident victims in Karachi were sacrificed to enmity.

In a tribute to the martyrs of the May 12, 2007 tragedy, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated on Tuesday that innocent lives in Karachi were “sacrificed to hatred and violence.”

The victims’ sacrifices are still a terrible but enduring reminder of the price paid for democracy, justice, and the rule of law, according to Bilawal’s message on the incident’s anniversary.

He claimed that the events of May 12 were not just tragic but also came to represent the people’s steadfast will and fight for democracy. He commended Karachi residents, political activists, and party employees for their bravery and defiance of oppression and terror that day.

The blood spilled on Karachi’s streets, Bilawal continued, is evidence of the people’s dedication to democracy, justice, and constitutional supremacy.

According to him, nations heal by remembering their scars with honesty and dignity rather than by ignoring them.

The PPP chairman reiterated the party’s position and declared that it would keep fighting for a peaceful, democratic, and tolerant Pakistan in which no city is kept captive by terror and no person is silenced through violence.
