April saw a 42% decrease in terror assaults due to “Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq.”

As the consequences of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq have started to show, there has been a notable decrease in terrorist attacks throughout Pakistan.

Official statistics show that there were 42% fewer terror attacks in April than in March. In April, there were 85 occurrences reported countrywide, up to 146 the month before.

During that time, security forces stepped up their operations and killed 224 insurgents. Additionally, fewer people died as a result of these attacks—67 in April as opposed to 106 in March.

Two members of peace committees, 37 civilians, and 28 security officials were among those slain in April. In addition, almost 100 people—54 civilians and 46 security personnel—were hurt in various instances.

The declining trend, according to officials, is a reflection of the operation’s increasing impact as the Pakistan Armed Forces continue to work to stabilise security and combat militant activity throughout the impacted areas.
