Bilawal commends the military forces, diplomacy, and national unity at the Marka-e-Haq ceremony.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated on Monday that Pakistan has “endured and prevailed,” asserting that the nation is steadfast in its sovereignty and continues to rise “again and again” in the spirit of its predecessors.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressing a “Marka-e-Haq” ceremony in Karachi, stated that Pakistan has endured a phase of uncertainty but has emerged more robust through national unity and perseverance.
“Approximately one year prior, Pakistan faced significant uncertainty,” he stated, noting that border tensions had heightened concerns of violence.
He stated that the nation confronted significant problems yet remained resolutely unified. “In spite of challenging conditions, Pakistan maintained its position,” he stated, attributing the resolution of the crisis to national unity.
Bilawal stated that Pakistan’s past has been defined by struggle and sacrifice. “Since its establishment in 1947, Pakistan has been honed through adversity and fortified through sacrifice,” he stated. “This triumph was not solely due to weaponry, but rather to resolve and valor,” he remarked.
Bilawal stated that from the northern mountains to the Arabian Sea’s coastlines, the nation was united, noting that this solidarity was evident “from the fields of Punjab to the deserts of Sindh and Balochistan.”
“The military defended the nation with valour, discipline, and honor,” he stated, noting that diplomats adeptly articulated Pakistan’s stance on the global stage.
He stated that Pakistan will not capitulate under duress. “We shall never relinquish our weapons,” he stated.
He alleged that specific foreign entities are attempting to distort history. “Certain entities beyond the borders are attempting to distort history,” he stated.
Bilawal stated that Pakistan has consistently favoured peace. “We have never sought conflict; we have consistently favoured tranquility,” he stated.
He determined that the situation necessitated accountability and contemplation. “This is a moment for contemplation, not hubris,” he stated.
During a ceremony commemorating the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq in Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah stated that Pakistan had reacted within hours to Indian aggression. “Merely a few hours later, India was incapable of competing,” he stated.
He asserted that Pakistani forces had intercepted Indian aircraft, including Rafale jets, stating, “Jets may be effective, but their performance relies on the pilots operating them.”
Shah asserted that India had propagated misinformation regarding assaults on Karachi Port, which he refuted as untrue, emphasising that Pakistan’s Navy remained entirely vigilant during the incident. He stated that Pakistan’s nuclear program was commenced under Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in 1972 and subsequently progressed under Benazir Bhutto via the missile program.
“We are a pacific nation; we have declared our aversion to war,” he stated, asserting that Pakistan will never compromise on its defence.
Prime Minister announces ‘Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq’ on May 10 to commemorate the victory of the operation.
During the same ceremony, Sharjeel Inam Memon stated that the day signified national pride and unity. “Today is a significant and celebratory day for Pakistan,” he stated, noting that the armed forces had provided a robust reaction to the adversary. “On the occasion of ‘Marka-e-Haq’, the Pakistan Army delivered a formidable response to the adversary, resulting in a humiliating defeat for India,” he stated.
