Elections for 13 local government seats in Sindh are now taking place.

By-elections for 13 local government seats in nine Sindhi districts, including Hyderabad, are currently taking place.

Polling started at 8:00 am and will run continuously until 4:00 pm, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The districts of Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Dadu, Sujawal, Sukkur, Naushahro Feroze, Mirpurkhas, Jacobabad, and Ghotki are holding elections.

Voting is underway for four general ward member positions, two chairman seats, two vice-chairman posts, and five district council member seats, according to officials.

There are 98,808 voters registered for these by-elections, 53,832 of whom are men and 44,976 of them are women, according to the Election Commission. There are 73 voting places in all, 59 of which have been deemed extremely sensitive and 11 of which are sensitive.
