First Test: Azan, a rookie, scores a ton as Pakistan collapses slightly

On the third day of the first Test against Bangladesh here on Sunday, Pakistan suffered a slight collapse as they scored 251-5 at lunch, with debutant Azan Awais scoring a century.
Azan Awais, an overnight not out batsman, was removed shortly after reaching his century during the morning session. Twelve fours were part of his 165-ball 103. It was the debutant’s first Test century. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto claimed to have caught Taskin Ahmad’s scalp.
Pakistan lost four wickets when they resumed their first innings today at 179 for one. When captain Shan Masood was dismissed for nine runs at 226, Pakistan lost their third wicket. Saud Shakeel was unable to access his account.
During the lunch break, Muhammad Rizwan was batting at eight and Salman Ali Agha at twelve.
On Saturday’s second day, Bangladesh’s first innings was dismissed for 413 runs. Mominul Haque scored 91, Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 101, and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 71.
Noman Ali and Hasan Ali each grabbed one wicket, while Shaheen Afridi took three and Mohammad Abbas took five for Pakistan.
