Great respect for Pakistan, they’ve really tried,” Trump said.

United States President Donald Trump on Sunday again praised Pakistan’s efforts for peace talks, saying that he has “great respect for Pakistan” and it has been “terrific”.

“I have great respect for Pakistan, but I will, because they have been terrific. “They’ve tried hard and they’re going to stay involved,” he added in an appearance on Fox News.

“If Iran wants to negotiate with the United States, they’ll be able to do it,” Trump told reporters. If they want to, they can talk to us. They can call us. You know, there is a phone. We’ve got excellent, secure lines but we’re not sending folks to go 18 hours to meet,” he said.

“But again, they know what has to be in the agreement, very simple. Trump also talked about nuclear issues as part of any possible negotiations. They can not have a nuclear weapon . If not, what’s the point of meeting?”

On the previous day Trump again lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of the Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir for their efforts to pave the way for peace and talks with Iran, although the diplomatic process had another delay.

I think Pakistan is great. Field marshal (Asim Munir) is great. “I think the prime minister of Pakistan (Shehbaz Sharif) is great and, you know, they would like to see something happen,” Trump added.
