Hiking trails in Islamabad will be closed indefinitely starting April 20.

The Islamabad district government has declared the closure of certain famous hiking routes in the federal capital, commencing April 20, 2026, until further notice.

The impacted trails comprise route 2, Trail 3, Trail 4, Trail 5, and the route located behind Saidpur Village.

Officials announced that the decision to close the paths was made in the interest of public welfare and for administrative purposes. The notification states that all public activities on these paths are unequivocally prohibited until further notice is provided.
