Illegal gold mining is prohibited in the province by the KP government.

In order to stop illicit gold mining, section 144 has been implemented in Swabi, Nowshera, Kohat, Karak, and the regions along the banks of the Indus and Kabul rivers, according to a statement released by the provincial home department.

According to the announcement, those who violated section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code will face consequences.

Following a resolution by the provincial cabinet, the KP home department banned illicit gold mining along the banks of the Kabul, Swat, and Indus rivers a month ago.

The districts of Swabi, Swat, Nowshera, Kohat, and Karak have instructed their deputy commissioners to make sure the judgment is carried out right away.
