Next week, Saudi Arabia will provide $3 billion in support to Pakistan.

Speaking at the Pakistani Embassy in Washington, he mentioned that he had previously held in-depth conversations with the finance minister of Saudi Arabia and that a similar meeting had also happened in Islamabad last Friday.

According to Aurangzeb, the Saudi finance minister has unequivocally said that the $3 billion in help will come from extra deposits.

He added that all external obligations would be fulfilled on schedule and mentioned that Pakistan has paid $1.4 billion in the last week.

According to the finance minister, a $5 billion Saudi deposit facility will have a three-year term instead of an annual rollover arrangement, delaying its maturity until 2028.

Aurangzeb thanked the Saudi finance minister, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the Saudi government for their ongoing assistance.
