Pakistan Army cadet recognised at the Royal Military College Duntroon in Australia

The Australian Royal Military College (RMC), Duntroon has designated Pakistani Army Cadet Sardar Arsam Abbas (PMA 152 Long Course) as the “Overall Best Foreign Military Cadet” during the graduation ceremony at RMC Duntroon, Canberra on 5 May 2026.
The accolade is granted to the top-performing foreign military cadet in all aspects of training. This exemplifies the utmost standards of professionalism, dedication, and excellence exhibited by the junior leadership of the Pakistan Army.
The commissioning procession was inspected by the Australian Chief of Army, Lieutenant General Simon Stuart, AO DSC. The occasion was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, including the Pakistani High Commissioner in Canberra, families of the graduating cadets, and officials from the Australian Defence Force.
Pakistan and Australia maintain a longstanding military partnership. Since 2013, seven officers of the Pakistan Army have held the position of platoon leaders at the RMC college, while 46 Pakistani Army cadets have graduated from this esteemed institution since 2009.
This signifies the 14th instance in which a Pakistani Army Cadet has been recognised as the Overall Best Foreign Military Cadet, including Lieutenant Nasir Hussain Khalid Selhria Shaheed, Tamgha-e-Basalat, who attained martyrdom on 4 September 2020 in the North Waziristan District.
Lieutenant Nasir Shaheed’s name is carved on the memorial stone at the RMC parade ground, symbolising the lasting legacy of heroism, sacrifice, and dignity of valiant Pakistani Army officers.
