Pakistan Railways imposes ban on filming and photography on stations

Pakistan Railways has banned recording and photographing on its premises and introduced stringent new conditions for journalists, vloggers, bloggers, content creators and social media influencers. persons shall be strongly forbidden from entering railway operational areas, infrastructure zones or restricted spots for filming or photography without prior written permission.

The new policy envisages that any anybody who intends to take photographs or make video recordings will have to get formal permission in advance from Railway Headquarters.

The railway officials have also warned that the department will take strong action against workers found helping unauthorised persons in such acts.

The officials added that legal processes would be commenced under the applicable laws of Pakistan in case of any breach of these orders.
