Pakistan reiterates its moral position over India’s unilateral moves at the UN

At the UN, Pakistan has reaffirmed its moral position and cautioned India against taking any hostile actions under the pretence of the Pahalgam false flag operation.

Even prior to India’s assault, Pakistan revealed its evil plans to the world. Asim Iftikhar, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, stated on May 2, 2025, that Indian policies seriously jeopardise regional security and peace.

He underlined that Pakistan has communicated at all diplomatic levels that it does not seek escalation with India. He did clarify, though, that Pakistan is still ready to protect its territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The ambassador also said that India’s “water aggression” would be considered an act of war. In order to reduce tensions and advance regional stability, he continued, Pakistan is amenable to UN mediation.
